Butterfly Ribbon Place Cards

Simple and elegant does it. These are easy to make, yet they make a big, fancy impression. Plus, they’re so decorative, you don’t need much else on the table.

What you’ll need:

  • 3″ wired satin ribbon
  • 5/8′ ribbon
  • Glue gun
  • Glue stick
  • Ivory cardstock
  • Ruler/Measuring
  1. Cut 11 inch pieces of the wired ribbon- you’ll need two per place card.

  2. Mark the center of each ribbon, 5 1/2 inches from either side.

  3. Using a hot glue gun, make a line of glue down the middle. Fold one side over to the center and glue in place. Then fold the other side over and glue on top of the first side.

  4. Glue two prepared ribbons together, only in the center.

  5. Use the 5/8′” ribbon to wrap around the center. Secure in place with glue.

  6. Make a small bow, with the same ribbon and glue onto the center.

  7. Print your guests’ names on the cardstock. Cut to desired size and place in between the butterfly ribbon.
